•  Nancy Jane Betzner, 74, Grand Junction, died Oct. 22, 2008, at Hospice Care Center.

Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Seventh Ward Chapel. Services will follow at 11 a.m. at the church with burial to follow at 1 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado.

Mrs. Betzner was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, LaMar; six sons, Ben of Tulsa, Okla., Max Schmidt and Craig Schmidt, both of Denver, Van Kelly of Telluride, Todd Schmidt of Utah and John Betzner of Gilbert, Ariz.; three daughters, Christine Maak of Heber, Utah, Amanda Ottley of Quincy, Wash. and Gloria Harmer of Pocatello, Idaho; 21 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

•  Orville Dale “O.D.” Brown, 90, Grand Junction, died Oct. 22, 2008, at his home.

•  Ruth Brown, 85, Grand Junction, died Oct. 20, 2008, at Mantey Heights Care Center.

Services will take place at 2 p.m. Friday at the Grand Mesa Southern Baptist Church in Cedaredge. Interment will be at Cedaredge Cemetery.

Survivors include one son, Joe of Missouri Valley, Iowa; one daughter, Mary Kuhns of Grand Junction; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

•  Donald Ray Buxton, 94, Grand Junction, died Oct. 22, 2008, at Mantey Heights Care Center. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary. Services will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Buxton was a postal carrier.

•  Lucille Hogsett, 88, Grand Junction, died Oct. 22, 2008, at Larchwood Inns.

Services will take place at 3 p.m. Sunday at Bookcliff Baptist Church.

Mrs. Hogsett was a homemaker.

Survivors include one son, Gary W. of Metairie, La.; one daughter, Sonda R. of Grand Junction; two brothers, Floyd Doughty of Derryville, Ark. and Joe Clyde Doughty of Benton, Ark.; one sister, Allie Mae Crager of Perryville, Ark.; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

•  James William Humphreys, 81, Palisade, died Oct. 19, 2008, at the Palisade Living Center.

Services will take place at 11 a.m. Monday at Mountain View Cemetery in Longmont.

Mr. Humphreys was a postal carrier.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara; one daughter, Kathy Humphreys of Pflugerville, Texas; two brothers, Harry Humphreys of Puyallup, Wash., and Louis Edward Humphreys of Longmont, Texas; and one sister, Gwen Williams of Longmont, Texas.

•  Joseph George Moore, Jr., 87, Delta, died Oct. 23, 2008, at his home.

Survivors include one son, John Hanning of Cuero, Texas; one brother, Joe Moore; one sister, Dorothy Butler of Omaha, Neb.; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

•  Willard Harvey Nicks, 92, Cedaredge, died Oct. 15, 2008, at Willowtree of Delta.

Mr. Nicks was the owner and operator of H & G Livestock Commission Company in Montrose.

Survivors include his wife, Audrey of Cedaredge; one daughter, Connie Williams of Cedaredge; two brothers, George Nicks and Carl Nicks; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
