Deputies find body, meth lab in Springs-area home

COLORADO SPRINGS — Authorities say a dead body and a methamphetamine lab were found in a home near Monument north of Colorado Springs.

KRDO-TV reports (http://tinyurl.com/mgwqwme ) the discoveries were made Wednesday.

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Department went to the home in search of a man on probation, but the reasons they were seeking for him weren’t immediately known.

The identity of the victim hasn’t been released. Investigators say there were no indications of foul play or obvious signs of trauma.

Investigators haven’t said if the dead man was the person they were looking for.
