City councilors act as judge, jury, executioner

So the Grand Junction City Council has decided it has the right to act as judge, jury and executioner. Apparently due process and conflict of interest do not apply when its members are about to lose their power.

What is more frightful—a councilman-elect with a misdemeanor charge or City Council members who believe the court of public opinion can outrank the court of law?

The resolution written and approved last night by six of the seven City Council members stated the above. Those types of beliefs, put into writing, show that those six members are not fit to sit on that council.

The road they are leading the city of Grand Junction down destroys the whole system of laws on which our country is founded. It is the mob rule of the French Revolution.

Maybe Bennett Boeschenstein would like to bring the guillotine next time.

Hurrah for senators who blocked gun control bills

Thank goodness that some of our senators have the intestinal fortitude to stand up to the socialistic special interest groups supporting the Obama Administration and block the proposed nonsensical gun control bills.

Now, since they have found out they can still respond to the true needs of the American populace, maybe they can start to regain control and repeal/remove the socialistic garbage that has been imposed on us.  Let’s get back to the Constitution!

President backed ineffectual bill

If you did not agree with Obama on the gun control bill that was defeated, he acted like a spoiled child who did not get his way.

He backed a bill that did not solve any problem. He grandstanded by bringing parents who lost children at Sandy Hook to Washington. He made you feel like a hard-hearted person if you did not see his point of view.

Fortunately, a few senators resisted the emotional appeal and used good judgment to vote against the bill.

Watch out for him getting revenge on those who voted against his vastly superior intellect, even though he won’t let us see his college transcripts that gave him this superior intelligence.

Yep, there goes the wife-beater vote

It’s no matter that the feds didn’t pass new gun regs, many of the states have already violated the 2nd amendment by passing their restrictive gun laws.
