GJ council election ballots due today

Grand Junction voters have until 7 tonight to turn in their ballots for City Council elections.

Ballots can be dropped off at four locations: City Hall, 250 N. Fifth St.; the Old Courthouse, 544 Rood Ave.; and the Department of Motor Vehicle offices at the Mesa County Fairgrounds and at Mesa Mall.

Voters must live in city limits. Ballots were mailed to eligible registered voters.

Tom Kenyon and Ken Sublett are running in District A.

Incumbent Councilwoman Bonnie Beckstein and longtime former Councilman Reford Theobold are running in District D.

Incumbent Councilwoman Teresa Coons is running unopposed in District E.
Roland E. Cole, Bill Pitts and Samuel J. Susuras are running for an at-large seat.
