Influential conservative group visiting Grand Junction tonight
Local conservatives with the Western Slope Conservative Alliance are hosting members of the Heritage Foundation tonight at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall.
Brett D. Schaefer, with Hertiage, will be addressing attendees. He is the Jay Kingham Fellow in International Regulatory Affairs at Heritage’s Margaret Thatcher Center for Freedom. He speaks frequently to audiences of business leaders, congressional staff and academics, and has testified before Congress on the United Nations and foreign assistance and development.
Founded in 1973, the Heritage Foundation is a research and educational institution whose mission is to formulate and promote conservative public policies based on the principles of free enterprise, limited government, individual freedom, traditional American values, and a strong national defense.
The meeting is free and open to the public. Contact Jennifer Bailey at 201-2670 for more information.
