Science leadership depends
on teaching evolution
I strongly endorse the letter written by Charles Blount in response to a letter by Mike Nevins.
What Mr. Nevins does not seem to realize is that evolution is scientific fact. It would be a sad day for this country if we were to start teaching myths in science classes instead of fact-based science.
We, as humans, are here on this planet as the result of a long evolutionary process. Mr. Nevin needs to adjust his religious beliefs to fit the science.
If we are to remain in a leadership position in science, then we need to have science and math instruction that is the best in the world, with students getting a firm understanding of the scientific method.

Liberals know when
to bail out of races
I want to thank Gov. Bill Ritter for stepping down and doing all of Colorado a very great favor.
These liberals sure know when to bail out.
