Joe the Plumber making a house call at GJ courthouse

Another rolling protest of federal policies will pass through Grand Junction, this time with Joe Wurzelbacher, also known as Joe the Plumber, expected to appear Monday morning.

Wurzelbacher questioned Sen. Barack Obama in a 2008 campaign stop in Holland, Ohio, prompting Obama to say he was trying to “spread the wealth around.”

Wurzelbacher’s appearance is part of a “Spending Revolt” bus event sponsored by Americans for Prosperity, which has sponsored similar bus visits this summer.

The appearance will take place from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. in front of the old Mesa County Courthouse, 544 Rood Ave.
