Justice for a Bronco?
Front Range murders don’t usually provoke a lot of comment from this newspaper. But, when they involve a Denver Bronco, and a very personable one like the late Darrent Williams, that’s of interest to people in every corner of Colorado.
Like a great many Coloradans, we were pleased to see there has finally been an arrest for the killing, which occurred on a Denver highway in the early-morning hours of New Year’s Day, 2007.
Willie D. Clark, a gang member already in federal prison on drug charges, was indicted by a grand jury Wednesday for allegedly shooting Williams from an SUV as the football player sat in the back of a limo.
Here’s hoping Denver prosecutors convict Clark quickly, and bring charges against others who were in the SUV with Clark.
