Olathe trio, Grand Valley’s Hegwood, Hotchkiss’ Jesse Head, Boyle win

Grand Valley’s High School Bryan Hegwood won his Class 3A 170-pound quarterfinal match at the Colorado State Wrestling Championships. He will be joined in tonight’s semifinals by Hotchkiss’ Jesse Head (138 pounds) and Joe Boyle (145 pounds). Also earning semifinal matches were Olathe’s Austin Shank ((113 pounds), Trenton Piatt (120 pounds) and Jacob Solseth (132 pounds). All will vie for a spot in tomorrow night’s title matches at the Pepsi Center in Denver.
