Olathe FD benefits from Punkin’ Chunkin’

Destruction can be quite therapeutic, especially if it’s overly dramatic and for a good cause.

The 9th annual Punkin’ Chunkin’ and Fall Festival will be Saturday, Oct. 29, at DeVries Produce at the Friend-ly Farm, 60542 Gunnison Road, between mile markers 85 and 86 on U.S. Highway 50, between Montrose and Olathe.

Hosted by the Olathe Volunteer Fire Department, the event offers pumpkin launching and a fall festival during the day and a haunted corn maze after dark.

Admission is $7 for adults, $6 for seniors, $5 for children or $22 for a family of four with a $4 charge for each additional adult. Proceeds will benefit the volunteer fire department and local charities.

Call 323-6559 for information.
