Rally planned to celebrate military’s kill of bin Laden

Mesa County Commissioner Janet Rowland is organizing a rally at 6 p.m. today at the Teller Arms Plaza parking lot, 2401 North Ave., to celebrate the death of 9-11 mastermind Osama bin Laden and to recognize members of the armed services.

Bin Laden was shot to death in a firefight with a team of U.S. Navy SEALS and his death was announced Sunday night by President Obama.

The rally is open to the public and participants are urged to brings U.S. flags.
