‘Reflections of Christ’ exhibit opening in Grand Junction
Photography and faith combine in “Reflections of Christ,” exhibit of 30 large-scale photos that will be on display at two locations in the valley.
“Refections of Christ” created by photographer Mark Mabry depicts scenes from the life of Christ in 30 color and black and white photos.
The exhibit, which has traveled to more than 20 cities in the United States and Canada since January 2008, includes an original musical score and a video.
“Reflections of Christ” is sponsored locally by St. Mary’s Hospital and members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
It can be viewed from 3–7:30 p.m. now through Sunday, Feb. 21, on the fifth floor of the Saccomanno Education Center at St. Mary’s Hospital, 2635 N. Seventh St.
Use the walkway from the parking garage to the main hospital lobby. Visitors 12 and older are welcome.
A meet-the-artist fireside event will be at 7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 21, at the LDS Church, 2542 G Road.
“Reflections of Christ” will be on display at the LDS Church from 3–7:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, Feb. 23–26, and from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27. All ages are welcome to attend the events at the church.
Two concerts featuring Men Behind the Music will close the exhibit on Sunday, Feb. 28, at the church.
A youth and young adult concert will be at 5 p.m. and a concert for the general public will be at 7 p.m.
