Ridgway State Park open for boating

Ridgway State Park is open for the 2010 boating season. To prevent the spread of aquatic nuisance species, all trailered vessels entering and leaving the park are required to be inspected.

The inspection station is open from 8 a.m. through 4:30 p.m. seven days a week through May 3. After then to May 15, hours will be 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. After May 15, the summer inspection hours will go into effect: 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays through Labor Day.

To speed the inspection process prior to launching, boaters are encouraged to arrive at the boat ramps with their vessel and trailer “Clean, Drained and Dry.”  All live wells, bait wells, anchors, drift socks and drift buckets must be inspected prior to entering and upon exiting the lake. To expedite the process, please have these items readily accessible for inspection.
