Sales are poppin’
Tristan Noel said he’s already getting job inquiries from local businesses interested in his sales skills.
But at age 12, Tristan will have to wait a few years to follow up on the inquiries.
Until then, he can bask in the glory of his popcorn sales, an activity at which he excels.
Tristan’s sales of $16,334 in popcorn for his Boy Scout Troop 357 fundraiser made him the fourth-best popcorn salesman among Boy Scouts throughout the country. And this year is no anomaly. When he was just a Cub Scout, Tristan sold $2,431 in popcorn. He has substantially increased his sales amount each of the subsequent four years.
Most of the money raised through the popcorn fundraisers goes back into the local scouting program, and Tristan said he’s happy to increase the amount of money available for other local Boy Scouts.
But Tristan has also received a number prizes for his salesmanship. He used some of them to purchase a computer and has earned awards that he can put toward his college education.
So congratulations, Tristan Noel. We expect we’ll be hearing more about your sales skills in the future, whether you put them to use with one of those businesses that have contacted you or in some other endeavor.
