Palisade’s Lelich makes All-State team

Palisade High School catcher Pete Lelich was selected to The Denver Post’s Class 4A all-state baseball first team.

The Bulldogs junior hit .446 this past season and drove in a team leading 28 runs.

Montrose infielder Nate Robertson also made the first team, and the Indians’ Jeremy Storter and Delta’s Ethan Kraai were honorable mention picks.

In Class 5A, Fruita Monument pitcher Cody Rahmann and Grand Junction pitcher Tyler Stanford made the honorable mention team.

Chaunce Lindley of Cedaredge and Colby Corey of Olathe made the Class 3A first team and Dustin Braslin of Paonia made the Class 2A first team.
