State marijuana rules nearing completion

LAKEWOOD — Marijuana regulations for the commercial sale of medical pot are nearing completion with today’s final meeting of the group writing rules for how dispensaries operate.

The regulators are planning to require pot shops to install expanded video surveillance to allow state officials to see everyone coming and going from a storefront marijuana shop or commercial growing operation.

The regulations also include required labels on medical marijuana. Food infused with the drug will have to carry warning labels.

The regulations will be open to public comment next month and could be final by spring.
