Super Bowl fun
You don’t have to be rooting for the Giants or the Patriots to have a good time watching the Super Bowl.
Here are a couple of spots where football fans will gather for the big game on Sunday, Feb. 5:
■ Doors will open at 2:30 p.m. for 95 Rock’s Big Game Bash at Mesa Theater and Club, 538 Main St.
The event is for ages 16 and older.
There will be free food from Flyn’ Roosters, Have Cooker Will Travel and Domino’s Pizza on Orchard Mesa.
You can score big time at the Big Game Bash, with prizes range from a four-pack of Avalanche tickets to piercings from Apex Body Piercing.

■ Cactus Canyon, 3210 Interstate 70 Business Loop, Suite 18-R in Clifton, will have its chili cook-off fundraiser beginning at 4 p.m.
The afternoon of fun, food and football will benefit two local charities: The House and the Testicular Cancer Awareness Foundation.
Teams are encouraged to put their chili up against others in the community. Prepare the chili prior to arriving, and heat on site. The cook-off entry fee is $25.
The first place winner(s) of the cook-off will receive a trophy and bragging rights for the year.
Those ages 21 and older — either cooking, eating, or tailgating — are invited.
