This Week in the Legislature, March 25, 2013

This week, the Colorado Senate will begin work on the state’s annual budget, spending all week considering amendments with lawmakers on both sides of the political aisle trying to tweak it to suit their needs.

■ Wednesday: The House Finance Committee will hear a bill on an employee tax credit for businesses in enterprise zones.

■ Thursday: The House Transportation & Energy Committee will hear a bill designed to remove any conflict of interest from any member of the commission that oversees oil and gas development.

■ Next week: With the Senate expected to complete its work on the state budget, it’s the House’s turn to work on it.

All floor action and committees can be watched or heard on the Legislature’s website, http://www.leg.state.co.us.
