Where compassion
and community unite

Twenty years ago, a small group of five dedicated staff members made a commitment to caring for our Western Slope community.

That group, originally known as Hospice & Palliative Care of Western Colorado, is now called HopeWest, and it has grown into one of our region’s prized assets, serving Grand Junction, Montrose, Delta, the Plateau Valley and Meeker.

We’re fortunate to have a nonprofit organization whose mission to provide hospice and palliative care and bereavement services is never compromised by bottom-line profit considerations.

HopeWest has done a stellar job of getting buy-in from the communities it serves. It relies heavily on volunteers and private donations to minister to the sick and dying, survivors and caregivers.

The most recent example of its growing sphere of influence is a new $3 million facility in Montrose. Construction will begin soon. The Montrose location has served 2,000 families, but it outgrew its space in Montrose Memorial Hospital.

Thank you, HopeWest. Your growth benefits us all when we need it most.
