• Surely by the time you reach college age you should have enough sense to use the crosswalk caution lights on 12th Street at Mesa State to provide a safety margin for you and approaching drivers; it does not take but a few seconds of your time. Conversely, drivers should be aware of the lights and control your speed as you approach these areas.

• I wonder how many fire stations the city could have built with the money they spent on Seventh Street, Colorado Avenue, Horizon Drive at Interstate 70 and the Rood Avenue parking garage? They have plenty of money for the public safety facilities. All they have to do is change their priorities from what they want to what we need.
