• The school board should stop complaining about the defeat of the bond issue. Board member Rowley says that year round school is not good for the students or families. The schools are only used for eight months out of the year so don’t ask me for more money when you do not even use what you have for the entire year.

• Back in the last 1980s, savings and loan executives went to Washington, D.C., in their private jets for a bailout of the S&L crisis. Now the big three auto execs come to D.C. in their private jets for another bailout by the American people. History repeats itself. It’s time for this parade to stop.
