You Said It Column September 17, 2008

• Thank you to the two people that shoveled and swept the intersection at Ridges Boulevard and Ridge Drive.  Apparently the city of GJ is too busy to do their job.  There have been several accidents due to people sliding through the stop sign because of the gravel on the road.

• The “You Said it” contributor who wrote recently that Senator Obama “piggybacked” his speech in Berlin onto a concert had his facts wrong.  The Senator’s speech was the main event, and 200,000 people came to hear him, out of curiosity or enthusiastic hope.  There are thousands of Americans living in Germany, and they have the vote.  Perhaps the writer needs to change news channels?
