After a week of global cooling followed by a week of global warming, can’t we all agree that warm weather is better? If we are going to spend lots of money on climate change, how about a climate closer to Hawaii than the Arctic?
Since the city is so worried about the two break-ins of the marijuana dispensary, they are going to put a moratorium on them for their safety. Does that mean since we have had so many bank robberies, they will put a moratorium on opening a bank to protect them?
Can someone please explain to me why we will be having a Loveland contractor doing the underground work at the Main Street Uplift project? And a Las Vegas company doing landscaping on our Main Street? My city asks me to shop local. Please do the same.
Why would anybody have an affair on your spouse? Your half-hour of pleasure destroys a lifetime of family.
We returned to the area approximately four years ago and during that time I can’t count the number of phone directory books we’ve found on our doorstep. They are beautifully put together and encased in plastic bags, I just wonder the cost. I would think we could save a great deal of money during these hard times if said books were published and distributed every second or so years.
I wanted to thank the Daily Sentinel for showing a picture last week of the city workers hanging Christmas lights and calling them Christmas lights. I only hope when they were hanging them, they were by that bagel joint, where the Free Thinkers hang out.
Do most people understand that the U.S. government has no money at all ... not one thin dime. The only access they have for money is taxes — from citizens, institutions and businesses. They cannot create jobs except for the ones that run government, and guess where those salaries come from? Any of these new “stimulus packages” are only our money taken from us and given back to a few others.
Perhaps those who demonstrate against the public option should turn theirs down when they reach 65.
I find it laughable that people decry Cheney for not wearing a military uniform. Exactly which branch of service did Obama serve in?
So Cash for Clunkers has raised the price of used cars ... wow, that sure helps the little guy on a tight budget now, doesn’t it?
Reading the anti-Obama posts, I wonder if these people understand that it was years, even decades of missteps and blatant disregard for what’s right that brought us to our knees. Tell me, is there anybody on this planet who can perform transformation miracles in 10 months’ time? Give the man a break. Hope for the best. Cool the negativity. It does absolutely no good.
Rick Wagner may be right about sucking sounds, but I believe what he may be hearing is the sound of excessive corporate profits and the extravagant cost of dual worthless wars being sucked out of people earning less than a living wage and going without good health care, not to mention the giant cost of lobbyists and year-round election campaign expenses.
