Archery shoot in the sights for May 18-19

The Grand Mesa Bowmen will host its 50th annual Safari Archery Shoot the weekend of May 18-19 at the archery range on Glade Park.

Targets will include 20 3D and 14 paper animal targets.

Shooting will take place 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. May 18 and 8 a.m. until noon May 19.

Registration (one day) is $35 for a family, $20 for adults and $14 for youths.

Camping is available at the range.

The archery range is located adjacent to DS Road three miles south of Colorado National Monument.

Cabela’s opens “Fish for Million$” contest – As if you needed another excuse to go fishing, add some extra excitement to your next fishing trip by registering for Cabela’s “Fish for Million$” contest.

Registered anglers catching a specially tagged fish could win as much as $2 million. Colorado is among the 19 states participating the contest.

Tagged fish have been released in Blue Mesa and Pueblo reservoirs.

The contest runs through July 7.
