Be in the know when it comes to water

The 2014 Water Course from the Water Center at Colorado Mesa University offers this enticing title: “What Citizens Need to Know about the Colorado Water Plan.”

The three-session course runs 6 to 9 p.m.
on consecutive Mondays (Feb. 3, 10 and 17) and brings together some of the most fluid water minds in Colorado.

Topics include “Physical Realities of Colorado Water” on Feb. 3; “Laws, Compacts and Agreements for Meeting Future Water Needs” on Feb. 10; and “Colorado Water Plan and the Gunnison Basin Plan” on Feb. 17.

The entire course costs $45 (or $20 per session), but it is free for K-12 teachers and CMU staff and students. Supporters of the CMU Water Center receive a discount admission.
