Group hosting conservative commentator
The Western Slope Conservative Alliance will host Denver radio show commentator Rob “Sunny” Roseman at its meeting at 6:30 tonight at the City Hall auditorium, 250 N. Fifth St.
Roseman’s presentation is called “A Politically Incorrect Evening With the Inconvenient Sunny Roseman.”

Knitting event benefits babies, homeless
Community of Christ, 2880 B 1/2 Road, will host a two-day knit-a-thon to benefit newborn and premature babies and the homeless.
The event begins at 7 p.m. Jan. 6, with activities for youth. Knitting and crocheting will begin at 10 a.m. Jan. 7 and will continue throughout the day. Additional youth activities will be provided. The event is open to all ages. Yarn and looms are provided for those not able to use needles and hooks, and extra hooks and needles are available.

Help available for Medicare beneficiaries
Are you new to Medicare?
An educational session for new Medicare beneficiaries will be offered at 10 a.m. Jan. 10 at the RSVP office in the lower level of the US Bank Building, 422 White Ave.
The Senior Health Insurance Program (SHIP) will conduct the session. Seating is limited. Call 243-9839 to reserve a space.
