Denver grand jury indicts 3 in old murder cases
DENVER — Three men have been indicted on charges of murder and attempted murder in a 1994 case police thought had gone cold.
Investigators say DNA evidence was used to win indictments of Andre Jackson, Samuel Sims and Jackie McConnell on multiple counts of murder and attempted murder.
Sims and Jackson are also accused of sexual assault.
According to the Denver Post, the indictments were handed down in the stabbing deaths of Jacqueline Collette Gallegos and Nelson Swiggett. A third victim, Mack Martinez, was repeatedly stabbed.
Authorities say the suspects believed one of the victims had drugs and money in the home.
