Fishing regs meeting March 31 in Montrose

As part of its 5-year review of statewide fishing regulations, the Colorado Division of Wildife will host an anglers’ roundtable from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. March 31 at the Holiday Inn Express in Montrose.

DOW aquatic biologists and managers will present to answer questions and discuss plans for various waters. Topics to be discussed may include methods of take, season dates, size requirements and bag limits.

“We appreciate public participation in this process,” said John Alves, senior aquatic biologist for the DOW’s southwest region. “It is important that individuals share their insight, perspective and local knowledge during the discussion to allow for development of appropriate fishing regulations.”

Anglers wanting to offer input may submit questions or comments pertaining to the Montrose area to Dan Kowalski, area aquatic biologist, at 970-252-6017 or e-mail at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
