Fly-tying series heats up for winter

Winter usually means time to fill those fly boxes depleted after a year’s fishing. The weekly series of free fly-tying demonstrations continues at 10 a.m. Saturday at Western Anglers Fly Shop.

You might want to sit down.

It’s fly-tying season and you can’t do it standing up.

Or a vice, if you’re really hooked on fly tying.

The winter series of free fly-tying demonstrations heat up each Saturday through February at Western Anglers Fly Shop.

This week, the talented Gail Doudy shares some of his secrets for fishing the Gunnison River.
