Forecasters: Storm bringing May snow to mountains

DENVER — Weather forecasters are keeping an eye on a storm that could bring up to two feet of snow to the north-central Colorado mountains this week.

The National Weather Service says the storm is expected to arrive Tuesday evening in Colorado and move across the state Wednesday. If temperatures dip low enough, areas near the Wyoming border could get more than two feet of snow.

There’s a winter storm watch Tuesday evening through Wednesday afternoon from an area covering Rocky Mountain National Park, Georgetown, Fairplay and Castle Rock.
