Go up, down at Powderhorn

Ski mountaineers can test themselves and their equipment Sunday when Powderhorn Mountain Resort hosts a Colorado Ski Mountaineering Cup Series race. Top division racers will traverse 5,000 feet in total elevation change.

Get Divine, get Inclined.

That’s your goal, all you hard-core backcountry skiers, when Powderhorn Mountain Resort on Sunday hosts the Powderhorn Ski Mountaineering Race.

The race is part of the Colorado Ski Mountaineering Cup Series and features 5,000 feet of up-and-down and up again and down again, five times worth.

Recreation division racers have it a bit easier, but it’s still a test of will and endurance.

It’s something you might do once, just to say you did.

Or you may find you like it. Being Divine and Inclined, that is.
