Help the Mesa Land Trust

The Van Loan Ranch on Glade Park, here photographed by John Fielder, is part of the more than 63,800 acres in Mesa County protected as open space and wildlife habitat by the Mesa Land Trust. Fielder will make an appearance this weekend in Grand Junction to benefit the Mesa Land Trust.

You could call it “open wallets for open space.”

Buying a $10 ticket for the John Fielder appearance at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Colorado Mesa University benefits more than the Mesa Land Trust and Colorado’s open spaces.

Also benefiting are the generations of citizens who will have green space to enjoy instead of strip malls, starter castles and egregiously lighted parking lots.

Or you can jump the curb, so to speak, and get a $50 ticket for the private get-together with Fielder earlier Saturday evening.

Also available is a $200 photography class and brunch 7:30-11:30 a.m. Sunday. A story earlier this week had incorrect dates.
