Hunt dinosaurs as part of Outdoor Heritage Day
The best place to hunt dinosaurs is Palisade’s Riverbend Park.
Probably it’s the only place, as well, particularly during the sixth annual Outdoor Heritage Day 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Saturday.
Hunting dinosaurs is but one of the many outdoors related activities at this free event presented by Colorado Parks and Wildlife and more than 40 partner groups, all with the desire to encourage families and youths to spend more time outdoors.
There will be free lessons (and lunch) for everyone, including demonstrations and seminars on fishing (the pond is stocked), bird and wildlife watching, hunting and more.
Learn to tie a knot, shoot a .22 rifle, catch a fish, build a campfire, identify a moose — it’s a full day of outdoor action.
No license needed for the dinosaur hunting.
