Intersection Maps added to Lunch Loop

by: Chris Muhr
Thanks to our local cartographer John Hodge and COPMOBA, we now have intersection maps at the Lunch Loop/Tabeguache, 3 Sisters Trail System.
These new maps are COPMOBA’s first attempt to give riders not only on the ground maps of the trails systems but with the “you are here” Bikerpelli icons on the map, trail users will be able to orient themselves and hopefully eliminate some of the confusion for our first time users or out of town visitors to the area.

Eventually QR codes will be incorporated into the signs to allow the trail user to download  the maps to their mobile device and watch videos with information on local geology, wildlife, trail construction techniques and trails sponsors.

If this “prototype” intersection mapping system is well received by the trail users, there are plans to take them system wide over the next couple of years.
