Learn to Ski or Ride at Powderhorn Mountain

Ski and snowboard instruction is a valuable gift for all ages, as this instructor appears to be telling his students. Powderhorn Mountain Resort is offering special youth and learn-to-ski programs.

Why wait until opening day? With Powderhorn Mountain Resort set to open Dec. 13, there’s no time like now to take the plunge. Oh, wait, that’s at Telluride.

Closer to home, Powderhorn is offering several attractive options for young skiers, including the popular multi-week youth program with special age-specific classes and lessons geared to skiers and riders from teens to tots (that’s 4-year-olds).

Also, the Daily Sentinel Learn to Ski or Ride program, for first-timers ages 8-17, offers a series of lessons along with lift tickets and rentals, with a free season pass if you complete all three lessons.

Plus, thanks to Rocky Mountain Orthopaedics and St. Mary’s Hospital, participants get free round-trip bus service.

It’s going to be winter — someday.
