Learn all about the world of animals at Western Slope Animal Expo

Two-legged creatures are invited to learn more about four-legged creatures and winged insects during the Western Slope Animal Expo.

From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, Western Slope Animal Services and a number of local animal organizations are gathering to celebrate the joy and companionship of animals with entertainment and education for the whole family. The event, which also offers food and activities will be at the Mesa County Fairgrounds Exposition Park, 2785 U.S. Highway 50.

Demonstrations of a hands-on equine health assessment, pet rehabilitation and beginner bee-keeping are planned.

There will be a Fido Follies show, a dog Olympics and a pet costume contest.

Ticket prices are $3 for adults and $1 for children.
