Missing the boat on a record catch
JASON WILBUR, who lives in Westminster, said he wasn’t offered a ticket for the Homer Jackpot Halibut Derby in Alaska when he bought his fishing license. But, Wilbur said, he wouldn’t have thought that he’d be a winner, having fished the same waters last year and not catching anything near the size of the 313-pound halibut he landed a few weeks ago.
