Trail building results in Free Lunch for all
If you’ve already blown the cobwebs off that mountain bike you’ve stored in the garage all winter and are looking for a place to ride, here’s the chance to make sure the riding is there for you.
The Colorado Plateau Mountain Bike Association, affectionately known hereabouts as COPMOBA, and the bike-advocacy group Bicycle Colorado are joining forces to build some new trail close to Grand Junction.
Work already has started on a singletrack bypass of the Widowmaker and the lower half of Free Lunch but there’s still plenty for you to do.
Trail building started March 28 but the big day will be Saturday when you and other bike lovers will join forces to complete the lower portion of Free Lunch.
There is no such thing as a free lunch but there will be a Free Lunch if you donate some time and much-needed sweat equity.
You know what we mean.
