SKIERS AND SNOWBOARDERS can gear up for winter Saturday at the National Ski Patrol Ski and Snowboard Swap at Two Rivers Convention Center.



Switching gear

• With a winter storm bearing down on Colorado’s mountains, there’s no better time to upgrade your ski and snowboard gear or get rid of gear you no longer use. Members of the National Ski Patrol from Powderhorn Resort make it easy for you.

What: The Powderhorn National Ski Patrol Ski and Snowboard Swap.

When: 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. Saturday.

Where: Two Rivers Convention Center, Grand Junction.

How: To sell, pay a registration fee of $5 for skis, snowboards; $3 boots; $2 other items; To look or to purchase, admission is $2 person; under 12 free.

Why: Proceeds benefit the National Ski Patrol for training and equipment.
