Powderhorn changes hours to meet daylight savings

Powderhorn Ski Resort is springing forward starting Monday, opening its lifts at 10 a.m. and closing them at 5 p.m.

Saturday and Sunday, the resort is continuing its regular-season lift hours of 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

“Shifting our hours provides an extra hour of soft snow and sunny conditions,” said Sarah Allen, Powderhorn’s marketing and communications director. “It also provides more time for those that prefer to ski and ride in the afternoons.”

Powderhorn’s scheduled closing day for the 2010-2011 ski season is April 3.
