Redlands water uses likely will go without Monday evening

Residents who live on the Redlands south of South Camp Road will likely not have water service Monday evening into Tuesday, due to a planned water outage by the Ute Water Conservancy District.

Ute Water says the outage is limited to about 200 homes in the area. Water is scheduled to be turned off starting at 6 p.m. Monday until 6 a.m. Tuesday for affected homes.

The outage is necessary because of ongoing construction of a new truck stop near the intersection of 22 Road and U.S. Hwy. 6&50. Work crews will be working through that night to tie a replacement waterline into Ute Water’s distribution system, according to the utility.

Since Ute Water’s system is gravity-fed, users at the higher elevations of the system will likely see low pressure or outages as a result of the work.

Information will be available during the outage on Ute Water’s Facebook page, and via their Twitter feed @UteWater. A detailed map of the closure can be found online at http://www.utewater.org.
