Rotarians host South Korean guests

Members of the Group Study Exchange sponsored by Rotary International visited The Daily Sentinel Friday morning to learn about the newspaper industry.

A group from South Korea has been touring local businesses this week as members of the Group Study Exchange sponsored by the Downtown Grand Junction Rotary Club and Rotary International.

The five members were selected from District 3720 in Ulsan, located east of the Kyung Sang Nam Do Province, in South Korea.

So far, the group of young professionals have visited businesses in Colorado Springs, Durango, and Montrose.

While visiting Grand Junction, they have toured a variety of selected businesses including Carlson Vineyards, Enstrom Candies and The Daily Sentinel.

“This is the way we promote culture, peace and understanding in Rotary International,” said Rotarian Ed Hokanson.

The group will visit Glenwood Springs and Aspen before moving on to the regional Rotary meeting in Colorado Springs.
