Take a hike: CCA looking for trail monitors

Colorado Canyons Association is searching for volunteers to help keep trails in good condition, such as this trail in McInnis Canyons National Conservation Area.

If you really need another excuse to hike in McInnis Canyons National Conservation Area, here is one more.

Colorado Canyons Association, the nonprofit group fostering community stewardship for National Conservation Lands in western Colorado, is seeking volunteers to hike the trails and monitor their condition.

If you have a favorite trail (or trails) you visit at least twice a month and are interested in keeping those trails in good condition, this program is for you.

Trail volunteers take inventory of their trails and work with the CCA and Bureau of Land Management to provide updated information to the public.

If you’re headed out there anyway, why not do something lasting for you, the lands and the public using them?

WHAT: Volunteers needed for public-land trail monitors.

WHERE: McInnis Canyons National Conservation Area.

WHEN: Monitors should be out at least twice a month.

HOW: Contact Joe Neuhof of CCA, 970-263-7902, or .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
