Trail hands needed, bikes included on Mesa Top Trail

Volunteers are requested this weekend to help finish the proposed Mesa Top Trail, a “Quiet Use” singletrack trail from Colorado Highway 65 to Flowing Park reservoir and the Indian Point/Flowing Park trail loop.

Sponsored by Antonelli’s Advanced Automotive and Colorado Plateau Mountain Bike Association (you know it as COPMOBA), the weekend aims to extend the 3.5 miles of trail already built.

Bring sturdy shoes, work gloves, water, snacks and long pants. The sponsors supply the rest.

And since it is a bike trail, don’t forget your bike for some post-construction riding.

WHAT: Work on the quiet-use Mesa Top Trail.

WHERE: Meet at the Greenwood trail head. Call the number below for directions.

WHEN: Saturday and Sunday, 8:30 a.m. both days. Saturday includes a barbecue

HOW: RSVP on COPMOBA’s Facebook page; email to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address), or call Dan, 970-270-8575.
