Keller Williams Colorado West Reality, LLC Diva Team
Where did you grow up? Grand Junction. Graduated Central High School
Family: Parents Mike and Janet Mossburg; Husband Greg; children Ryley and Norah
What do you enjoy most about living in the Grand Junction area? It’s nice you can get anywhere in a short amount of time, and I enjoy the amenities Grand Junction has to offer without the stress of a huge city.
How long have you worked in real estate? Five years. Two years prior to obtaining my license, Greg and I spent two years building several homes together.
What would you consider your specialty? Helping clients buy and sell residential real estate, investment real esate and helping homeowners navigate the short sale process.
Do you have any accreditations or certifications? CHRE (Certified Home Rescue Expert); IMSD (Internet Marketing Specialist Designation); three-year board member of the Grand Junction Area Realtor Association.
Describe your most memorable real estate transaction? (Laughing) I sold a townhouse to a bachelor friend of mine in 2008. It was his first home, and he was randomly featured in a newspaper article in 2009 about first-time homebuyers. That transaction led him to meet his eventual wife, who wrote the story.
What is the most challenging/gratifying aspect of what you do? I love helping people through the process of what could be a very challenging experience of buying or selling a home. What it boils down to is I love helping people and I’m passionate about Real Estate.
What is the one tip you have for someone looking to buy a home today? Buyers need to make offers more quickly than in the past year or two because there aren’t as many homes on the market and we’ve been encountering multiple offer situations.
What is the one tip you have for someone looking to sell a home today? The amount of homes on the market has dramatically decreased so the supply doesn’t meet the demand. Less competition means great time to sell.
What do you see in the future of real estate sales/prices? According to the data, it appears our market has bottomed out and prices have stabilized. There are a lot of families who still owe more than their home is worth, so there still will be a lot of short sale transactions to take place. In the next year or two, we’ll start to see small increases in appreciation.
Why should someone use you as a real estate agent? Communication is key. We on the Diva Team go by the Platinum Rule: treat people the way they want to be treated. One of my clients has told me that “I’m the bomb-diggity.” (Laughing)
