When did Bassett Home Furnishings
open in Grand Junction?
Bassett in Grand Junction is locally owned and operated by Rick and Susan Wise.  After owning and operating a small store named Home Front Interiors in Montrose, Colorado from 1993 to 2004 we realized it was time to grow into a larger market.  In 2004 we were approached by Bassett Furniture Industries to open a Bassett store on the Western Slope.  After evaluating the market potential of several markets, Grand Junction became the obvious choice.  We purchased the roller rink building at 325 W. Gunnison Ave and remodeled for Bassett with the Grand Opening in February 2005.
What sets Bassett apart from other furniture stores?
Our HGTV Home Design Studio is exclusive to Bassett.  We believe there’s more than one way to create your perfect room and have more than a few ideas on how to pull one together.  We love to bring your room to life with the richness of texture and a pop of color.  Our Design Consultants spend time in conversation with you to discover your needs, visit your home to assess the space and build your personalized design including:
Expert Space Plan
Product Recommendations
Fabric + Paint Plan
Think a designer isn’t within your scope?  Don’t worry, our services are complimentary.
Bassett’s Design Consultants are here to help makeover your space to reflect your life and your style while working within your budget.
We have a staff of 10 loyal employees.  The majority of which have been with us from 5-9 years.
How do I get connected with a Design Consultant?
These days everyone is busy and time is a precious commodity.  We’ve made it easy to connect with our Design Consultants.  Visit bassettfurniture.com to book an appointment online to set up a time in advance or just stop by to get as little or as much advice as you need.  Two of our current Design Consultants have been nationally ranked in the top 10 consultants in the US for Bassett Furniture Industries.
Is Bassett involved in the community?
We are given many opportunities to support local charities.  Heirlooms for Hospice, Latimer House, Community Hospital Gala and Habitat for Humanity are among the few we contribute furniture and fund raising donations to.  We recently donated new furniture and redecorated the entire Veterans Lounge at Colorado Mesa University to thank our veterans for their contribution to our country.
What is something that might not
be known about Bassett-Grand Junction?
We also carry a high-quality brand of luxury outdoor furniture made in the USA by Mallin Casual Furniture.  Mallin pioneered the kind of creative comfort that’s so desired in today’s lifestyle.
Their continuing innovations in cushion and fabric design lead to the most comfortable and fashionable presentation in the outdoor furniture industry.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?
Rick and Susan are avid motorcycle enthusiasts.  When not working, we are riding our motorcycles purchased from Grand Junction Harley Davidson.  Our bucket list goal is to ride our Harley’s in all 50 states before we hang up our boots.  We currently have 37 states under our belt and will complete another 10 in 2017.  When not riding the tarmac we enjoy exploring all of the off road terrain possible on our BMW adventure bikes.
