Mavs’ Pridham wins weekly award

Colorado Mesa sophomore attacker Austin Pridham received Western Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association offensive player of the week award.

Pridham scored four goals and had three assists to help the Mavericks go 1-1 in two home games last weekend. He had a hat trick and an assist in Mesa’s 14-4 victory over Notre Dame de Namur. He added one goal and two assists in an 8-7 double overtime loss to Dominican (Calif.) University.

The Mavericks (5-4, 3-2 WILA) play Seton Hill (Pa.) University at 10 a.m. Sunday in St. Charles, Mo.

Tennis

The Colorado Mesa men’s tennis team is ranked sixth in the NCAA South Central Region.

The Mavericks (14-12) are the only RMAC team ranked in the region.

Four teams qualify for the NCAA tournament, including the RMAC tournament champion.

The Mesa women’s team is not ranked in the region, but could qualify if it wins the RMAC tournament 
April 19-20 at the Elliott Tennis Center.
