Where did you grow up?
I grew up in the Grand Junction, Fruita and Palisade areas on a large family farm.
33 years ago, I married my high school sweetheart, Guy Thomas, who is a custom home builder in our valley. We have two daughters, Jennifer Thomas and Stephanie Thomas Sloan, whose husband is Brandon Sloan. Jennifer and Stephanie are graduates of CMU.
What do you enjoy most about living in the Grand Junction area?
Grand Junction has a great climate year round. Our town is so close to many fun recreational activities. We enjoy our cabin in Arrowhead, snowmobiling, atv-ing, and quality family time. Being a Grand Junction native, I’ve enjoyed seeing the growth of our community and so many wonderful people here.
How long have you worked in real estate?
I have been in real estate for 18 years.
What would you consider your specialty?
I work primarily in residential, new construction, and farm and ranch properties. Plus, I specialize in mountain properties, especially Arrowhead cabin and lot sales.
What is the most challenging/ gratifying aspect of what you do?
The most gratifying aspect of my work is helping people find their dream property or home. It is priceless to witness and participate in that achievement. I get so much gratification in putting people into ownership of real estate. Especially rewarding is working with second and third generations!
What is one tip you have for someone looking to buy a home today?
If you’re looking to buy or sell a home, my advice is to use an experienced real estate agent. They offer you their best professional knowledge and guidance. It’s good to be pre-qualified with your mortgage broker, to make the process go smoother for everyone.
Why should someone use you as a real estate agent?
I have over 18 years experience in real estate, and I ALWAYS look out for my clients’ best interest!
