Garfield Re-2 gets new School Board member
The four remaining members of the Garfield School District No. Re-2 School Board voted unanimously last week to make Michelle “Mickie” Hosack the newest member of their board.
Hosack will replace Brad Moss, who left the board this summer after moving outside of District A, the Rifle-area district he represented on the board. Hosack will serve on the board through the end of Moss’ term, which was scheduled to end in November 2013. She can choose to run for re-election at that time.
Hosack was one of two applicants to apply to replace Moss, according to a news release from the district. Board members interviewed both candidates on Aug. 28 and voted to appoint Hosack at a board meeting later that same day.
