Get up on roof of valley for CMU’s Freestyle sprints
With apologies to local music guru Rock Cesario, The Drifters had a great idea with their hit single “Up On The Roof.”
You, too, can “go up where the air is fresh and sweet” and decidedly warmer, too, on Grand Mesa and the Skyway Nordic Center.
The Grand Mesa Nordic Council this weekend is hosting a full slate of collegiate and citizen races, including Saturday’s Colorado Mesa University 1-km Freestyle sprints (open to college, citizen and youth skiers) and Sunday’s popular and open-to-everyone 10-km Grand Mesa Classic.
It’s fun, inexpensive and there is lots of hot soup after the Grand Mesa Classic.
Best of all, you can’t see the air you’re breathing.
